The Top Female CrossFitter for 2008 is Caity Matter of Gahanna, OH, where she trains with Rogue Fitness. Tanya Wagner took second place and Gillian Mounsey took third.
The Top Male CrossFitter for 2008 is Jason Khalipa of CrossFit Unlimited in Milpitas, CA. Josh Everett came in second, with Jeremy Thiel in third.
The Affiliate Cup was won by the team from CrossFit Oakland.

In the video, we get to see Jason Khalipa knock out a blistering 500M on the C2 rower. Not a PR, but then, it was his third workout of the day.

Jason is such a beast. Crappy ass rower form and he still pulls a 1:20! At 5'9" that just blows me away.
I wish you all could meet Khalipa in person and spend some time with him. He is truly a down to earth and humble dude.

That's right, in December of 2006, the 2008 Crossfit Games Champion did Fran with jumping pull-ups. Hell, he got bested by his coach Austin, who took 13th place this year and also did jumping pull-ups back then. How far these two have come in 19 months just proves how well the system works.

And yes I agree, Khalipa is a pretty down to earth cat.. especially considering he is only 22... he could become a 1 man dynasty if he keeps it up...

The worst part about that row is how he immediately wants to do it again tomorrow. I hit a 500m and never want to do it again!
