I found Crossfit in 2010. I was part of a Krav Maga gym that offered CF as a extra class. So I said, "what the hell, I will give it a shot". I have been hooked ever since. As a travel nurse, I have had the amazing opportunity to experience CF all over the United States as well as out of country. I was never really into fitness growing up, but I did the typical sports and bike riding. Never anything as crazy as CF though. In March of 2007, I suffered from a massive stroke, caused from a missed diagnosed heart defect. It left me completely paralyzed on the right side of my body. I couldn't even speak. Well, no words that made any sense anyway. Put quite a damper on my nursing school career. This was not something I needed being in the middle of finals during my senior year. Thanks to God and an amazing family/ group of friends, I was able to make an amazing recovery. A month after my discharge from the hospital, I underwent heart surgery to correct the defect. A week after that, I was on the road running.... literally. Running a mile here, 2 miles there, just getting out and exercising. I decided it was time to make a serious change in how I lived my life. And yes, I was one of the billion people who tried p90x as well as the insanity workout. It got me on the right track to where I thought I wanted to be. Then I found CrossFit....." The Addiction" as I like to call it. A workout forever changing and confusing the hell out of your body. I am proud to be apart of the crossfit community and to show that throwing up can be fun.


How I Eat

I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount

I eat 1-3 full cheat meals per week

I am about 80% paleo but I do enjoy chocolate and a good pizza. But if I cheat, I try to make sure that I hit the gym that day.
