This morning, my bestie asked me “What makes you happy?” And, this is my reply: I’m the happiest when I beat people at stuff (I’m competitive to a fault). When I feel rested (I love to nap). When jeans fit (I have a pear shape. Pears are delicious but could never pull off skinny jeans). When I feel comfortable around people which is very rare (#introvert). When I feel confident and sure of myself like when I’m coaching crossfit (work is a different story. I am constantly learning new things, taking on new roles and projects… the learning curve is steep and the edge is thin). When I know that I will get to have a nap or a good night’s sleep. Friday afternoons. Eating sushi, especially if I have lots of room in my macros to cheat a bit. When I feel loved, liked, appreciated. When I have a good hair day (all the frizz-heads know what I’m talking about). When Aspen or Bain do something adorable (this is mostly when they’re asleep or want to cuddle. FYI Aspen is a dog and Bain is a cat). Playing beach volleyball. Being tan. Getting a tan. Not to mention beach vacations. Watching live crossfit events like the Games or Regionals. I love regionals season!! PS I'm the ginger in the profile pic. #darksoul I have been in this sport for 5 years. My average number of hours per week spent training is 15. My best move is sqwaatz. My worst move is pull ups #thestruggleisreal. My favourite part about being an athlete is Tight shoulders, calloused hands, ripped shins, achey knees, achey shoulders... oh wait, you said favourite part... A nice butt. I have a nice butt. My sports hero is Morgan Smith because... 1) she is a risk-taker 2) she has the sickest abs 3) she makes the best pain face 4) she makes me happy. Kevin Engelland because... 1) he doesn't feel pain 2) he laughs all the time 3) he thinks he can do everything 4) he can do everything. My biggest Competition success was Sweatfest Dynasty with the Titans (2011, 2013, 2014). A quote that inspires me is She believed she could so she did.
