Bio

I discovered CrossFit in June/July of 2011 and knew that I wanted to open an affiliate. I am a Biokineticist (since 2001) and I have always had a massive interest in health, functional fitness and sport. I am a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and the founder of Carlson Gracie Africa, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. With my history, I was drawn to the CrossFit lifestyle and way of “doing things”. I attended the September 2011 CrossFit Level 1 Certification and started CrossFit training in November 2011, when my Affiliation for my 1st Box, CrossFit East London, came through. I opened my 2nd Box, Algoa CrossFit in May 2013 and have recently merged with TRF to form CrossFit TRF Algoa. I am currently the head strength & conditioning coach for the EP/Southern Kings rugby. I love seeing how CrossFit changes peoples lives for the better! Luke 1:37 "For with God nothing will be impossible". Major Events: (2012) The Open – Reebok CrossFit Games 2012 - 1st place; Africa Regionals - Reebok CrossFit Games - 1st place; 36th at the Reebok CrossFit Games 2012; (2013) The Open – Reebok CrossFit Games 2013 - 1st place; Africa Regionals - Reebok CrossFit Games - 1st place; 32nd at the Reebok CrossFit Games 2013; (2014) The Open – Reebok CrossFit Games 2014 - 7th place
