The world would be a boring place without sports and competition. I have competed in many sports for nearly most of my life. (grew up with two brothers). I currently compete in Professional Lumberjack Sports. Throw axes, chop/saw wood, climb poles, run on logs in the water, etc. So different - and so much fun.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit by trying it alone (without a coach)
I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course
I have attended one or more specialty courses
I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit
I train other people
Chance (boyfriend) introduced me to CF about 4 years ago. It has become "Our Thing" We hated other gyms and decided to turn our apartment garage into a box. Soon friends came over, and our tiny garage started to shrink. So, we leased a 3,000 sq. ft. building and our box is continuing to grow.
My Work/Rest Schedule
I do multiple workouts in a day 3+ times a week
I strictly schedule my rest days
I typically rest 4 or more days per month
Saturday is outside play day and Sunday is rest day. As well as the few days my body screams at me - then some active recovery is much needed.
