I started CrossFit in 2006 and am a proud member of the CrossFit East family of affiliates. CrossFit Southside is my happy place, and I could not be more proud of the community we're part of.

How I Eat

I weigh and measure my food

I go back and forth between Zone (2x FAT) and just good ole whole foods depending on whether I am traveiing a lot or at home. I've been just eating enough to keep me fueled up to the next meal or workout, but still keep me at fighting weight. Been loving it.

How I Train

I workout mostly at home, work, or a traditional gym

I incorporate workouts

I record my workouts

2013 is the year of the mainsite for me. All programming (3 on, 1 off). I target some of my weaknesses with some supplemental work when I have time, but it's mostly just get loose, hit the WOD and get out. I've never been fitter in my 7+ years of CrossFit!

My Athletic Background

I played youth or high school level sports

I played college sports

I regularly play recreational sports

I played college baseball, snowboard, and am learning tennis now.

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit by trying it alone (without a coach)

I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course

I have attended one or more specialty courses

I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit

I train other people

CrossFit has changed my life, both in terms of Fitness and my entire social group. It's a behavior, lifestyle and philosophy that helps me get the results I want.

My Work/Rest Schedule

I usually only do 1 workout a day

I typically rest 4 or more days per month

I get em in when I can

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

4+ years

Started by going down the the Jax Beach lifeguard station on Saturdays for a free workout with the CrossFit East family. Came for the fitness, stayed for the community, left in order to give something back.
