I joined crossfit about a year ago last November. I had no idea how it would change my life. Just two short years ago I topped the scale at 310 lbs. I was sick and suffering. My life was consumed by alcohol, food, and Inactivity. I made the decision to change my life and give up my vices Nov.14th 2014. I was on the right path but still had a void in my life without my best friends vodka and pizza. When I walked into crossfit a year after getting sober my world came together. In one year of crossfit I have transformed completely. My mind, body, and soul grow stronger everyday. I have become my own hero and I will not stop here. If someone told me two years ago I would be here, living this dream I would never have believed them. I now know anything and everything is possible. I feel honored to be embraced by this amazing community. I have a dear friend Ashley Mills who never gave up on me and encouraged me to join crossfit for more than four years. It may have taken me awhile but as they say it's never too late! I'm 36, in the best shape of my life, and my heart is full. Thank you CrossFit for this opportunity. I always thought being an addict would work against me. In this new life I embrace every part of who I am and make it work for me not against me. #addictedtolife
