I have been doing crossfit now for going on 3 years in June. It has changed my life. When I started crossfit I was extremely over weight and had completely lost control of my health. I made a promise to myself that I would get back to a healthy weight and maintain it for myself. I saw this exciting new-ish style of training that was exactly what I was looking for! I needed that push, the motivation, the competition I knew from previous experience that those things worked for me and I was devoted to making this life change. By making healthier choices with food and through hard work I was able to meet my first goal of loosing 100 pounds in just under a year! But this major accomplishment motivated me to continue my journey even though I plateaued I continued to work harder and make the necessary changes to meet new goals. Overall I lost over 130 pounds! I have maintained my weight and continue to challenge myself everyday for going on 3 years. Crossfit isn't a fad for me its a lifestyle. I look forward to my time with my gym family. They push me, motivate me, inspire me and celebrate with me. I would never have imagined three years ago that I could climb a rope or do a handstand push up or do pull ups or register for the open and complete a workout RX. But Here I am. sometimes I look at old pictures of myself and I want to share them with the world in hopes that I can inspire even just one person suffering with obesity or with feelings of hopelessness (like they are past the point of no return in terms of their health) that they CAN do it. I'm proof! There is no can't in crossfit, just can't YET!
