How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
I try to eat Whole foods. Yummy things that the earth can provide me with out a package!!
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I write my own programming
I record my workouts
I have a shoulder injury so I do a lot of corrective exercise and plain strength and conditioning. I also try and do random things, swim, hit some gymnastics classes, Yoga, run, ski and skate with the kids. Climb.
My Athletic Background
I played college sports
I regularly play recreational sports
I played Varsity Field Hockey and before that Swam at a National Level. I still play field Hockey when I can. But with Coaching and three kids my extra time is very limited
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)
I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course
I have attended one or more specialty courses
I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit
I train other people
My husband brought me into the affiliate and told me Merry Christmas. It has truly been the best gift ever. I was struggling with depression, medications, lack of interest, anger,weight, desire to do anything. Cross Fit lit a fire in me that I have not had since University. I now work out daily, eat better, coach more, have gone back to school, and love myself!!! Cross fit helps me be a better mom and a better person. It helps me see how many blessings I have in life. It keeps me moving forward, it helps me help others!
My Work/Rest Schedule
I do multiple workouts in a day 2x a week
I strictly schedule my rest days
Rest is key to success. It is especially important for me as I am 41. Recovery is much slower than when I was 25. Plus lack of sleep is an issue for me. KIDS
