How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
I eat pretty good foods except for my cheat meal, you heard me right, a cheat meal, not a cheat day. Limiting yourself to a cheat day is for overachievers and I believe is the main cause of the worlds serial killer problem.
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I have a coach who determines my programming
I do what the coach writes on the board and go 100% every time. if things get heavy it slows me down a little but RX or die is how I roll. I try to do additional strength training to get stronger and make my chicken legs disappear, slowly but surely I will get there. Watch out 2013!
My Athletic Background
I have no athletic background besides CrossFit
I've been an avid ladder climber for years and I also pick up buckets of heavy stuff regularly. Unfortunately those two activities don't transfer over into being Super Strong. I now wish I would have been picking up Two buckets of stuff in each hand all these years, and pressing them over my head.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)
I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course
I train other people
I wasted so many years staring in the mirror and kissing my swollen biceps. I'm grateful to God for sending a Angel to visit me from Crossfit heaven and free my soul from tyranny of the elliptical dictatorship. I want to be a Crossfit Angel myself and bring the light into peoples lives. Or how my friends and family have interpreted it, "Will you quit talking about Crossfit non-stop, don't you realize we are at a funeral".
My Work/Rest Schedule
I do multiple workouts in a day 1x a week
I do my best to take off a Wednesday or Thursday and always take Sunday off, following Gods example. I do feel like something is a little off on the days I don't do a WOD. I know I'm not alone in that regard, but rest is an evil necessity, for us older folks at least...
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
