How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
Competitive athlete Paleo; I consume sweet potatoes or white rice post-workout, along with Progenex and Vitargo. I use whey protein in shakes. Other than that, I've been gluten-free, and pretty much Paleo/Zone/real food for over three years.
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I work in a large commercial gym as a personal trainer, and once or twice weekly do traditional body-part workouts there with other CrossFit friends. Bro workouts, actually. My real workouts are at CrossFit Green Bay.
My Athletic Background
I played youth or high school level sports
I've weight-trainer for 40+ years, have been involved with bodybuilding, powerlifting, strongman, competitive cycling, at different points in my life. Olympic movements are pretty new to my body, but I'm making steady progress in flexibility and mobility.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit by trying it alone (without a coach)
My wife got into Crossfit first, used to kick my ass on our weekend workouts at Golds!
My Work/Rest Schedule
I usually only do 1 workout a day
I typically rest fewer than 4 days per month
Traditionally one rest day weekly, though I may add an active rest day if I feel my body or nervous system demands it.
