How I Train

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I only workout at CrossFit Foothill. I love the competition of the clock and encouragement of teammates doing the WOD.

My Athletic Background

I played youth or high school level sports

Prior to Crossfit I had no experience with weights and had little muscle tone. I'm amazed at how much more weight I can lift 3 years later, but I always want to do more!

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)

The coaching I receive from all the fantastic coaches at Crossfit Foothill is amazing. They motivate me to do more, faster and encourage me to do things I didn't think I could do. The coaches push me to perform yet they know my limitations and scale the weight to my skills. I focus on executing the technique and pushing myself. I rely on my coaches expertise to guide me to excel to my best performance in each WOD. My training partner, Stephanie Sandoval, pushes me to perform too!

My Work/Rest Schedule

I do multiple workouts in a day 2x a week

I typically rest fewer than 4 days per month

I workout M-F doing the gym WOD. After the WOD I work on an element I'm trying to improve or do an Olympic lifting program. I do the Saturday team WOD as my schedule permits.

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

2-4 years

My goal for 2015 is finish the open in the top 40 and complete the Master Qualifiers in the top 20 so that I make the games this year. I placed 87th in the world in the 2014 Open (633rd in 2013) earning the opportunity to do the four Master Qualifier WODs. I finished 23rd in the world and finally got to showcase my muscle-ups in competition! I'm so proud of all the masters women! You inspire me to do more, faster and heavier! I exceed my 2014 Open goals, but not my expectations. I've had 11 months to work on my weak areas. Thanks to all the coaches and members at CFF for their support and encouragement. I'm going to The Games this year! Go CrossFit Foothill!
