2012 was tough. Ended up really sick in December through to January, wasn't going to do the games - but screw it - it's go time. My upper body is weak (but I'm working on it slowly), I love deadlifts and rowing (and more rowing).
How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
I eat 1-3 full cheat meals per week
Eat great quality food 90% of the time, love to cook, keep it simple with what ingredients I use. Really just focus on eating in a manner that makes me feel full of energy and lets me push forward in living the best life I can.
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I workout at Crossfit AI most of the time, here and there at goodlife. I work from home so sometimes I'll go into the garage and bust out a body weight or dumbbell WoD if I don't have the time to go to the gym. I try to do something every day.
My Athletic Background
I played youth or high school level sports
I regularly play recreational sports
Was a biathlete as a kid. Loved it, definitely gave me some mental conditioning in terms of approaching difficult tasks. Love to run, love to row, love to hike, love mountain biking. I might be the bigger guy there, but I push myself every time I come out.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)
It worked for me and really went well with my general mentality to life.
My Work/Rest Schedule
I usually only do 1 workout a day
Rest when I am tired. Listen to my body. Lately I've been focusing on technique and not time. Every rep done right.
