How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
I eat whatever is convenient
I eat 1-3 full cheat meals per week
I lost 20 lbs between 2009-2010, and had such a strict diet during that time that now I eat what I want when I want it. I love to eat clean (steak and veggies, yum!) and also not-so-clean (cheesesteaks, meatball sandwiches & pizza, oh my!). I eat until I'm comfortably full, which doesn't seem like much, but it works for me. I supplement with protein shakes.
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I train at CrossFit SoCo 3-5 times per week.
My Athletic Background
I started running in 2005 and ran a marathon in 2008. Did Tae Bo, P90X and various other work out DVDs at home as a stay at home mom. Love rock climbing.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)
I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit
CrossFit has changed my life. I'm in better shape now in my 40s than I have ever been in my life. And mentally, I have more confidence and enjoy my life more. The people at CrossFit SoCo mean the world to me!
My Work/Rest Schedule
I usually only do 1 workout a day
I typically rest 4 or more days per month
On weekdays, I make the effort (and usually succeed) to get to the 6 am class before I go to work 3-4 times. I also usually attend the 10 am Saturday WOD.
