I am a husband and father of 2. I have lost track of all the ways CrossFit has changed and improved my life for the good. I CrossFit for me and my family. My goal is to move and be healthy and be able to play and coach my children in sports and do outdoor adventures with them and my wife the rest of my days. My goal is to be healthy and mobile for my wife and grandkids and great-grandkids. 2017 was a special year because I hit 50 and I broke into the top 50 in my age bracket in the Open. Best showing yet. Also, 2017 is the year I celebrated my 10 year anniversary starting on my CrossFit journey. I have crushed all previous records of consistent exercise at different times in my life. Every time I step into the box it is another PR day...no matter what happens. CrossFit is an essential part of my life, it continues to mold and shape me in the right direction. CrossFit is just a part of life and I am good with that....really good with that. I compete because I am able, because it forces me to face new challenges and face my fears and prevail. It is a good checkpoint in my CrossFit journey and it builds community near and far. I am excited to be on my 14th year of CrossFit and on to celebrating 15.
