I am a lifelong competitor with a lot of miles (and 8 orthopedic repairs) on my bones. I played football in high school and college, and in recent years was a ranked triathlete with a few visits to the world championships for Xterra. However, the running miles required to be competitive were tough on me, so when I decided to give a Crossfit a try a few years back I was immediately hooked. The variety of training is much easier on my joints, and the combination of speed/strength/agility/endurance required suits me perfectly. I have become a vocal proponent, encouraging many friends and co-workers to give Crossfit a try. Hats off to Crossfit Weddington owner/coach Cory Worf for creating a great environment where top competitors workout alongside teenagers and 60+ year-old newbies.
