How I Eat

I weigh and measure my food

Working with the Crossfitters Eat to Perform model with quality foods.

How I Train

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I record my workouts

I have a coach who is guiding this new phase in my programming. I lift 3 days a week, wod 2-5 times a week depending on the week and incorporate interval training, hill training and over distance training each week. My schedule is periodized (is that a word?) with a typical week, harder week, hardest week and an easy week.

My Athletic Background

I played youth or high school level sports

I played college sports

I regularly play recreational sports

I played everything at school. Always made the teams but was never a standout player. Out of school I played soccer and field hockey and volleyball, ran, completed some triathalons. When my kids were little I started them in karate. They trained for a few years. I stuck around and hold a 2nd degree black belt in Shotokan Karate.

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)

I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course

I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit

I train other people

I guess it really is a life changing experience. Starting Crossfit June 2009 and working with my Naturopath on my diet weighing in at 260 lbs was the beginning of a journey that has brought me here.

My Work/Rest Schedule

I do multiple workouts in a day 1x a week

I do multiple workouts in a day 2x a week

I do multiple workouts in a day 3+ times a week

I strictly schedule my rest days

I typically rest 4 or more days per month

My workload depends on the week.

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

2-4 years
