I live and train in Boulder Colorado and have been crossfitting for almost 5 yrs. I think poor nutrition, stemming from misinformation, is the root of all evil and have been known to cruise the isles at Whole Foods intent on grain defamation, but usually i just get denied those rodent food samples.
How I Eat
I eat "Paleo with Privileges" and pay attention to my macro-nutrient ratios and amounts. I weigh sometimes to recalibrate myself.
How I Train
Standard stuff at Flatirons Crossfit combined with many other outdoor sports. I train to play.
My Athletic Background
wrestling and mt bike racing - but those are just war stories by now.
My Experience With CrossFit
Started at Crossfit North Santa Cruz in 2008. Lots of comps since then - even at the Ranch. Always humbled by the competition and stoked by the camaraderie.
My Work/Rest Schedule
About 5 crossfit WODS/week with some Oly in between. My "rest" days are chewed up throwing ice axes and pulling on rocks with my girl, snowboarding the backcountry with my dog Bear, mtbiking, cycling, and hiking. Screw rest days ;-) We can do that later right?
