My brother (USMC SGT) told me about CrossFit in winter of 2011. I am a USMC officer Candidate and for our work outs we would do these really intense circuit work outs. I loved them! I shrugged CrossFit off for about 8-9 months after he told me about it and I started to get really bored of my gym and then my brother brought CrossFit up again. I watched some videos of the 2010 games on youtube and what I saw blew my mind, what the possibilities were! I decided to look into CrossFit and started to play around with the WODs at my gym. I couldn't afford to go to a box, so I made due and learned the movements I could from Youtube videos etc. I did Cindy for the first time in Sep 2011 and I was hooked! I was recently able to join CrossFit UV and I can't get enough of it. I am 24 years old. My Dad was in the USMC and so we lived all over the place, but I claim Southern California as my home. I currently live in Orem, Ut and I go to Utah Valley University(UVU). I will be receiving my commission in the USMC after I graduate in 2014. I plan to stay in for 5-7 years, get out and open my own CrossFit box. I have attended and passed the Level 1 course in Park City, Ut.
