How I Eat

I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount

Very close to full paleo. One minimal cheat meal every week and a half or so.

How I Train

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

My Athletic Background

I regularly play recreational sports

I never participated in organized sports during high school or college (I was always a pitiful runner, and, while much improved now, still relatively slow). I like to snowboard in the winter and windsurf in the summer.

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit by trying it alone (without a coach)

I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit

I'm a type I diabetic, and Crossfit is instrumental in keeping the disease under control. It helped get me back on track when my control was slipping, and my doctors tell me that I am beating the odds for my age. I'm not on Lipitor and my cholesterol levels are great - Crossfit and fish oil! My coaches and community at my box are fantastic. I've tried other approaches to exercise in the past, but it wasn't till I found Crossfit that I discovered the motivation to make exercise a routine part of my life - which it has been for the 4+ years I've been doing Crossfit!

My Work/Rest Schedule

I usually only do 1 workout a day

I typically rest 4 or more days per month

Try for 3 days on 1 day off as much as I can.
