How I Eat
I weigh and measure my food
I eat mostly paleo. The only exception being I'll have some oats in a post workout shake sometimes and I will use whey protein sometimes in shakes as well. I prepare all of my meals on Sunday for the week and portion everything out by weight. I will eat5-6 meals per day consisting mainly of lean meats and veggies and for fats I'll have avocado and almonds. I try to drink a full gallon of water everyday to stay hydrated...sometimes a I drink a bit more. For treats sometimes I'll grab some paleo-friendly coconut dream ice cream. Non-dairy and made completely from coconuts. MMMM!
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
My background has been more of a fitness/bodybuilding type workout routine....some plyo as well. Did triathlon for a while and love that as well.
My Athletic Background
I played youth or high school level sports
I played college sports
I regularly play recreational sports
High school football....rowed crew in college for a semester. Play all types of sports for fun. Lots of rock climbing, tennis, golf, basketball, football. Triathlon. Just started crossfit and am excited to try something new!
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)
Currently am in an on ramp at my local Crossfit gym and am just really wanting to push myself and to learn and have fun.
My Work/Rest Schedule
I usually only do 1 workout a day
I typically rest 4 or more days per month
When I was training with my fitness program before crossfit, I would workout 6 days a week...one rest day on Sunday. Workouts would generally last from 1.5-2 hrs. Current crossfit class is 3 days a week....more as soon as the on ramp is complete.
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
