How I Eat

My cheat days all end in y. As I own an investment business and am very much chained to a desk it is a bit more difficult to eat as well as I would like. Reading that last sentence it sounds pretty lame. I would no rep me on that excuse. But nevertheless I think about proper nutrition every day and I am slowly sneaking up on it.

How I Train

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I am fortunate to have tremendous coaches that have gone above and beyond to help me hone my crossfit skills. While I believe that I am probably a year away from where I would like to be with gymnastics and oly lifting I am making progress.

My Experience With CrossFit

I started one evening with my wife. I had been running off -road ultras and didn't think that a wod like fight gone bad (my first) would be too taxing. Being competitive I wanted to have the highest score of the night. I don't remember much about that night only that we drove through a Wendy's on the way home. We ordered food , paid, and drove off ........without the food and only discovered it when we were nearly home. That is when I realized this was something special and I wanted more of it. I have always wondered what the mind and body could do when pushed physically which is one of the reasons for running ultras. I am Crossfit.

My Work/Rest Schedule

I usually only do 1 workout a day

I rest a lot more than 4 days a month. After 50 years I understand my body much better than when I was 30. I know when I can go and I pretty much know when I can't. Injury management is critical at this stage and therefore proper form is even more paramount. I only do one workout a day as I only have time for one. If I am fortunate enough to return to the games I will sprinkle double and triple wod days into my training but for the open I don't find that helpful.
