Bio

I am an assistant coach at CrossFit King of Prussia. I have L1, Olympic Lifting, Coaches Prep, Goal Setting and Kids. I will get my USAW L1 in March 2013. I am a board member and coach for our Steve's Club Chapter. I am also a life coach. I work with women on body image issues and I work with athletes wanting to improve their mental game. I also do a workshop for local affiliates, called 5th Element Fitness. It is designed to help athletes integrate mind and body in order to reach potential in the gym and in life. How I Eat

I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount

I believe in intuitive eating. I use my body's cues like hunger and satiety as a guide. I pay attention to how foods make me feel- and that helps me make a choice as to whether I want to eat them. When i eat something off plan, I consciously choose to do so- and allow myself to enjoy it fully wether its for taste, comfort or socialization.

How I Train

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I record my workouts

I am currently training to do an olympic lifting competition. I do 3-4 Strength/Oly Lifting Sessions per week. In addition I try to hit atleast 2 CrossFit Metcoms per week along with 1-2 yoga and/or gymnastics classes.

My Athletic Background

I have no athletic background besides CrossFit

When I started CrossFit I had zero experience with sports or fitness (beside a few attempts at convential exersize to lose weight). I was the fat kid as long as I can remember.

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)

When I started it took a leap of faith. I could do nothing RX. Simply getting though the workout was an accomplishment. I lost 100lbs and gained a relationship with my body i never would have thought was possible. I am now an assitance coach at my affilate and am highly involved in our kids programs. I have attended the Olympic Lifting, Kids, Goal Setting and Coaches Prep Course. I'm getting my USAW L1 in March.
