How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
I am a classic 100% paleo 80% of the time… depending on your definition of paleo of course! I think it’s a wide spectrum of variance in this community. I am mainly dairy, gluten and sugar free. I am grain selective and fruit loving. Some 85% dark chocolate and a glass of red wine are a part of my usual evening routine after a long day in the gym. I love food and am not afraid to enjoy it with abandon for special moments in life.
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I record my workouts
We run .com programming and accompany that with a competitor programming of strength bias wods. I have been injured with a low back issue for sometime now so my training is varied and includes very little bilateral squatting or oly work beyond the power position. I am rebuilding my body at 40. It’s been an ego check for sure!!
My Athletic Background
I played youth or high school level sports
I played college sports
Last year I started up with ballet and flamenco to balance all the CrossFit! Loving it and finding the ballet work really helps me address imbalances in my body that take away from my barbell work so that was an exciting discovery!

In 2012 I was a team member on CFT Thunder at the Canada West Regionals. I have been on the coaching team and Head Coach of Team Taranis over the past 4 years. We have been to the CrossFit Games as competitors every year since 2010. I am co-owner of CrossFIt Taranis. I work with people daily on everything from wods, mobility, stability and diet. This life is my passion.
My Work/Rest Schedule
I usually only do 1 workout a day
I typically rest 4 or more days per month
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
7 years ago I did my first wod in a globo gym. It was “Linda” and of course well below rx’d loads. I couldn’t move properly for 2 weeks. 1 year later I opened an affiliate. :)
