Bio

I am an Emergency Response Specialist for a Chemical Company. That means that I am a firefighter, EMT, Rope Rescue and Hazmat Technician all rolled into one. I love my job and I love Crossfit. It is such a supportive family at the box and away. I travel around the US and compete in the Firefighter Combat Challenge which is a toughest firefighter competition that has a lot of the same attributes as crossfit. It is actually why I started crossfit to work on my endurance and strength. I have a tough time balancing training for both. I am married and have 2 grown beautiful girls. I have actually gotten them to go to Crossfit too.

How I Eat

I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount

I tried Paleo diet but it made me weak and not feel well. I do a modified diet with low carb, gluten and sugar.

How I Train

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I record my workouts

From December to March, I strickly do Crossfit and some running (2 miles). From April to November I train on a firefighting course for the Firefighter Combat Challenge, but still try to crossfit twice a week. I take 2 days off per week. I work a 12 hour shift and have a busy, busy life so getting in my workouts is tough.

I've played volleyball, softball, soccer, track, cheerleading, firefighting or anything else that I find my way into. I am very competitive which keeps me active.
