I am married with 3 children and live on the Central California Coast. I have always been interested in fitness. In 2005 I started my training at the first Crossfit gym in Santa Cruz and had the good fortune to be surrounded by excellent trainers and a wonderful community. I competed in the 2007 and 2008 Crossfit Games when it was still a BBQ in Aromas.
How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
My diet leans towards paleo with ample amounts of fruits and vegetables but I also enjoy bread, tortillas and occasionally rice.
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I record my workouts
3 to 4 days a week are spent at Crossfit Santa Cruz Central following the programed workout and usually 2 days are spent working out of my garage gym on specific areas.
My Athletic Background
I played youth or high school level sports
Played all the youth sports and football in High School. Played rec softball until I was 45. Started running at age 19 and have continued ever since. Got into weigh lifting in my late 20's.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit by trying it alone (without a coach)
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)
I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course
I have attended one or more specialty courses
I train other people
Competed in the 2007 and 2008 Crossfit Games. Competed in the 2009 Nor Cal Regionals & the 2010 Norcal Sectionals. Team member Masters division 3 time winners of the Santa Cruz Affiliate Competition. Competed in the 2013 NorCal Masters. Tore my biceps tendon days prior to the 2010 regional masters qualifier and have slowly worked my way back. I am a trainer at Crossfit Santa Cruz Central.

I usually only do 1 workout a day
I typically rest 4 or more days per month
