Bio

I began CrossFit in August 2011, and competed as a master in the CrossFit Games in 2013, earning 10th place. I qualified for the Games in 2014, but suffered 2 serious disc injuries in my cervical spine, just weeks prior to competition. I used my recovery time to create a book full of inspirational Functional Fitness stories called Hope RX'D. I wanted to feature stories from around the world that would help others face challenges and make a positive impact on every reader. After two years of slow recovery and modified training, I have re-qualified for the CrossFit Games despite a very poor prognosis of returning to competitive sport. My three children, husband and CrossFit community have been very supportive through this process. I have been left with some nerve damage which affects movements such as Double Unders and HSPU, but I am very grateful to have made it back to the CrossFit Games, a goal I set for myself during recovery.
