I have completely many triathlon and cycling races of various lengths and continue to train multisport. I have been doing less since I joined crossfit but will pick back up soon as the season starts to participate in some races.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)
I really love CrossFit's variety and the camaraderie in the sport. It is a positive, energetic environment. I love the competion and seeing my skills improve.
My Work/Rest Schedule
I do multiple workouts in a day 2x a week
I strictly schedule my rest days
I try to take Wednesday or Thursday as an 'active' rest day by just doing a running workout. On Mondays/Fridays/Saturdays- (usually 2 of the 3) I may do a traditional WOD with an additional cycling, running or strength workout as well. Sunday is a strict day off.
