I am a 37 y/o husband to an amazing wife, a father to 3 beautiful daughters, and a physician. I lead a busy schedule with my hectic work hours, my training and my daughters' many activities, but I wouldn't have it any other way. My family is my life. We have always tried to stress activity and a healthy lifestyle to our children, which has helped bring our family closer together. This was kicked into overdrive after my wife joined CrossFit New Albany (CFNA) ~1-1/2 ago, followed by me ~1 year ago. She has become quite a fire-breather, and I hope to someday reach that status too. Exercise has been a part of my life since I was young, and I have always been drawn to participating in individual sports (Boxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Obstacle/Mud races, etc.). I like to compete against myself and test how hard I can push myself. I truly strive to be "Better than Yesterday", and the sport of CrossFit nurtures that more than any other I have had the privilege to participate in. The excellent instruction, training and support we receive at CFNA helps our entire CFNA family achieve just that. I feel tremendously fortunate to be part of the family at CFNA and commend Ralph Hicks and the other trainers and members at CFNA for impacting so many people's lives in such a positive way. I am humbled that my family and I can be a part of such a great community at CFNA, and CrossFit around the world, and wish everybody good health during these competitions and beyond.
