How I Eat
I eat whatever is convenient
I eat 1-3 full cheat meals per week
I stock my fridge with paleo goodies - I feel better when I eat clean so yeah, that is what I try to do. If I had a live-in chef I am sure I would be better...
How I Train
I have a coach who determines my programming
I walk the block and a half to The Training Room ATL and then complete whatever workout they have decided to have us all enjoy that afternoon. Then there's that pesky fall marathon I run every year so come spring I have to step it up - after all, there's a Marine at the end of those 26.2 miles waiting for me.
My Athletic Background
I played youth or high school level sports
I swam with University of Miami for two whole weeks - then I decided that waking up at 5am to swim wasn't my idea of fun...
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)
I showed up to CrossfitRx and signed up for a membership before I ever tried Crossfit. They were a cool bunch over there but when Training Room opened close to home I jumped gyms. I train with a bunch of really rad athletes and sometimes I beat them - those are the days when I am awesome. #iwannabelikemike
My Work/Rest Schedule
I usually only do 1 workout a day
I strictly schedule my rest days
I typically rest 4 or more days per month
Rest is as important as margaritas, or so I've been told. I try to workout four times a week, if there are shirtless men there I will (and do) show up more often. (There should be a "no shirt" rule for all the men at all gyms - when I am president that will be my mission, followed by world peace)
