How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
At 55, I am more observant about the kind, quality and quantity of the food I eat. I am striving to be better at eating to perform, but I am not rigorous about Zone, etc.
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I record my workouts
I need a coach to push me. It just works for me when I am working out with my CrossFit family - and my literal family, 3 of my boys do CrossFit as well and one is Level 1 certified.
My Athletic Background
I played youth or high school level sports
I played college sports
I was a competitive swimmer in high school, college and as a master competitior until I started CrossFit at age 51. No matter what, I always seemed to be the "slow guy in the fast lane".
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)
My Work/Rest Schedule
I usually only do 1 workout a day
I typically rest 4 or more days per month
I work out at my affiliate 5 days a week with rest days on Wednesday and Sunday. I would like to be more focused on strength and mobility, and have made some strides with the latter, but life and other commitments keep me somewhat in check.
