First WOD-May 1, 2010. Fell in love with CF May 2, 2010. I qualified for the Games last year (60+ Division) and it was a top 5 lifetime thrill-maybe top 2. Hope to return this year. Go Tamalpais CrossFit.
How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
Low carb, no sugar, light dairy
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I usually get in 4 workouts/week at my affiliate. I stay after the WOD to get in some weight work. One or two 5 mile+ runs per week.
My Athletic Background
I played youth or high school level sports
For 30 years I ran alot. Then I found-or should I say-my wife found Crossfit for me.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)
I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit
My wife was a dedicated crossfitter and finally talked me into going. She said it was improve my running. For 30 years I was an above average, but not great runner-10K, 10 mile, 1/2 marathon. In less than two years, crossfit dropped by times by 10-15% and I learned to love it. I run less and I am faster than when I was 35. And now I have an upper body.
