My Athletic Background

Before 2011, I was a couch potato. I decided that there was no reason for me not to be in shape, and that my health and future depended on it. I started running, and saw ok gains, but still was not getting what I was after. I did Insanity, which was my first ever introduction to HIIT, and I was hooked on the adrenaline pumping, high intensity workout it provided. I used this to supplement my running, and saw my speed rocket.

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)

One of my friends had been talking up Crossfit for a while, and I knew that it was something that I was interested in, but I felt intimidated, since I had only just started to find my fitness, and my upper body strength was non-existent. Then another friend mentioned to me that a friend of his had opened a box, and that it was a great environment that I would love. That friend has never lead me wrong, and I've been a proud Brickyard'er since.

My Work/Rest Schedule

I do multiple workouts in a day 2x a week

I typically rest 4 or more days per month
