Life controlled me for many years instead of me controlling me. I gave up a lot all of my personal goals due to work and family. I decided a few years ago that that needed to change. I was "sick & tired" of being "sick & tired" . . . physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually. I have changed that. In March, 2010 I started walking to train for my first Susan G. Komen 3-Day. I weighed 275-280 and that first 1.5 miles took me about an hour. I did the Balley's and Gold's thing for a few years but knew I needed something different however my mind was not ready. December 5, 2011 was my WOD at CrossFit Everett. Six days later on December 11, 2011, my 50th birthday, I ran my first ever 5k in under 40 min with no training. Almost two and half years later I consider myself in the bast shape in 30 years. I have come along way and have a long way to go. Life is a journey and I am on my way. My workouts at CrossFit Everett make my day. There is no going back, only forward from this point on.
