Bio

I was an avid weightlifter and long-distance runner in my 20's and a dedicated member of NYSC. I loved pilates and yoga as well. Then, Type II diabetes, arthritis, and chronic depression came in my early 30's and I felt fitness would be a part of my distant past. I tried bikram yoga, but I couldn't handle the heat four-plus days per week. I had lost all muscle tone and my body had become layers of fat, 225 lbs to be exact. Then, I met CrossFit in July 2011 -burpees, kb swings, wallballs, pullups, pushups, box jumps etc. My life is no longer the same. I used to be so weak physically before CrossFit. Psychologically, my physical weakness was crippling me, but now I know I can do anything. CAN'T has been erased from my vocabulary.
