I have been a runner for 14 years but after injuring my Achilles tendon last year I needed something new to stay in shape. I started doing Crossfit and for the first time in more than a decade I saw my body change. In the past I would just try to run more and more in order to get skinny- Crossfit helped me see how strong I could be and changed my body in a way I didn’t think was possible. I will always be a runner because I love the freedom of being outside but Crossfit challenges me in a totally new way. I love learning new movements and pushing myself to do things I never thought I could! This will be my first open so I'm not sure how it will go!
How I Eat
I eat whatever is convenient
I have tried to eat clean but at the end of the day it really comes down to whatever is convenient. Which usually means chicken fingers from Costco (I'm pretty sure that is Paleo).
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I try to hit the Box at least four times a week. My running comes first though so I don't always make it.
My Athletic Background
I played college sports
Did basketball and cross-country in university (I was not very good). Never have done gymnastics and it definately shows now that I'm trying Crossfit.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit by trying it alone (without a coach)
My Work/Rest Schedule
I do multiple workouts in a day 3+ times a week
Right now I am trying to do a one year Streak (run at least a mile a day for 365 days). So my rest days still have at least a short run.
