I was a competitive cyclist for over 20 years until a serious cycling accident ended my cycling and almost my life, but if it was not for the accident I probably would have never found Crossfit. I started Crossfit 7+ years ago in my garage and followed Mainsite until April 2012. I have experimented with other programming since then but still train solo in my garage. I started to take the sport more seriously about 3+ years ago and have competed in several competitions including the Crossfit Games the last two years. I have a daughter (17) and son (22) who also Crossfit along with my wife of 23 years. My wife trains at Gardens Crossfit and they have always been very welcoming to me and treated me like one of their members the few times I have joined her. I love the sport and the community and have met many new friends around the world over the past few years. Who knows, maybe Crossfit will be an Olympic sport one day!
