I started CrossFit almost 10 years ago but started getting serious about 5 years ago, and it has been a life changer! I was a competitive cyclist for over 20 years but decided to hang up the bike after being involved in a serious cycling accident with an automobile. Looking for another competitive outlet, I found CrossFit. I have enjoyed watching CrossFit grow and becoming a legitimate sport. I began competing about 5 years ago and have been to the CrossFit Games the past 3 years finishing 2nd (2012), 3rd (2013), and 2nd (2014). I still train by myself in my garage but will occasionally drop in at Garden’s CrossFit where my wife trains and Crazy Train CrossFit where my son trained. CrossFit has definitely become a family passion with my wife (Heidi), son (Brandon (24)), and daughter (Macayla (18)) all participating. My son is now working in the Forensic Department with Seminole County, and my daughter is a Freshman at Florida State University and playing soccer for the 2014 Women’s Division I National Championship Team. Love my family, love my life, and thank the Lord everyday for all the wonderful people I have met through the CrossFit community. Life is good!
How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
Use Progenex Products to fuel me pre and post WOD. I eat Paleo but with many privileges.
How I Train
I workout mostly at home, work, or a traditional gym
I record my workouts
I still train solo in my garage but have Chip Thorndike with Strength House Performance programming for me. I started with Chip before last years Games, and it has saved my body. Fewer aches and pains and no longer feeling run down except when he has purposely programmed for me to feel that way!
