Life is like a WOD, whether it's work, marriage or raising kids. The addition of Crossfit into my life has helped provide a whole new outlook and level of joie-de-vivre ! Thanks to being blessed with great people and coaches in two different boxes in almost two years. It has confirmed that life can continue to be exciting, frustrating, challenging and filled with wonderful ways to change if we are open to them.
How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I record my workouts
My Athletic Background
I played youth or high school level sports
I played college sports
For the last fourteen years I have been pretty laid back (aka yoga and Pilates) until Crossfit came along! Prior to that period, I tried many sports for the joy of them (rock climbing, white water kayacking, soccer, running, rowing, swimming, basketball, volleball, squash...). 'College sports' was really club rugby- women's rugby wasn't yet a varsity sport. Our idea of training was regular visits to the pub after practice and games.
My Experience With CrossFit
I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit
It seems to have reversed the aging process that was kicking into gear three years ago. It has also been wonderful for us to do as a couple.
My Work/Rest Schedule
I usually only do 1 workout a day
I typically rest 4 or more days per month
I listen to signs from my body to rest. And when I don't my body then finds a way to force me to rest!
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
Started April 11, 2012.
