How I Eat

I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount

I try to eat healthy but I am not good at sticking to a diet! I probably could eat better than I do but overall my food intake is pretty good.

How I Train

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I have a coach who determines my programming

I record my workouts

I train as much as I can, when I can!! But I have a full-time job, studying, coaching Crossfit (which I love!) and other commitments which limit availability to train as much or as long as I would like. But saying that I normally get in two sessions a day, 6 days a week (which just isn't enough because of all the skills/movements involved with Crossfit to learn and become better/stronger at!). My programme is determined by what my affiliate/coach has programmed.

My Athletic Background

I played youth or high school level sports

I have always been into trying different sports and fitness classes and never really found a sport that I wanted to commit to and become passionate about until I started Crossfit! Schooling was predominently swimming, athletics and netball. Since then, I have tried many sports including touch football, rugby and dragonboating as well as different fitness programs and gyms. If only I knew of Crossfit earlier than when I started it....

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)

I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course

I have attended one or more specialty courses

I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit

I train other people

How to describe my experience with Crossfit??? AMAZING! Great affilite to train at with amazing people and awesome coaches, personal development for myself including physical, emotional and mental development and a HUGE support network throughout the Crossfit community, making many new friends and sharing some incredible personal achievements along the way by fellow Crossfitters and myself. Crossfit opened up a whole new world to me!

My Work/Rest Schedule

I do multiple workouts in a day 3+ times a week

I typically rest 4 or more days per month

I do try to have one Rest Day a week from any training but there is always something else I can do that is not Crossfit related and it is hard to make yourself have a complete Rest Day!

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

2-4 years

I started Crossfit training January 2012, however I had done some sessions prior to this but it wasn't my focus then and was complementing other training/sports that I was doing at that time. So I am glad I made the decision to focus on Crossfit as my sport and have had no regrets!
