I started Crossfit when I discovered it existed in January 2011. When I began, I couldn't even squat properly. Now I am working hard to learn to do all of the different movements correctly and safely. I see the games as an opportunity to test my progress and an added incentive to push myself hard to keep improving.

How I Eat

I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount

I eat mostly vegetables and lean proteins. I still eat legumes and dairy. I sometimes splurge on small amounts of whole grains.

How I Train

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I record my workouts

I do 5-6 Crossfit WODS at my local affiliate and 6 Crossfit Endurance WODS every week.

My Athletic Background

I played youth or high school level sports

I ran track and cross country in high school. I am an endurance triathlete and an avid Crossfitter.

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)

I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course

I have attended one or more specialty courses

I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit

I train other people

Crossfit is the only training method I have ever used that allowed me to get stronger and improve my endurance/speed. I have completed the Mobility, Endurance, Olympic Weight Lifting, and Level 1 seminars. I coach group WODs and Crossfit Endurance groups at our local affiliate.

My Work/Rest Schedule

I do multiple workouts in a day 3+ times a week

I typically rest 4 or more days per month

I do one endurance WOD and one crossfit WOD four days of the week. I have two days during the week where I only do one WOD (endurance or crossfit). I try to take a complete rest day at least once per week.

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

2-4 years

I began in January of 2011.
