In 2009, my husband and I decided to try CrossFit thru a friend's recommendation. After the first week, I wasn't sure I wanted to come back! I felt intimidated by all the people I saw working out. But I did come back and it was the best thing I could've done. After 2 months of starting, I was off the green band and doing pull ups on my own. It felt awesome!! Next I was introduced to barbell work and found a new love!! Each time I came back, I felt stronger & better about myself, sometimes setting PR's. After 3 years from starting CrossFit, I hit my 1 rep DL max of 315. Super happy about that! Looking back now, I am so glad we signed up & drank the kool aid. I love it!! The support & encouragement we get from our coaches through each WOD, no matter how hard, painful & sweaty is ALL worth it. There is no other gym like it anywhere. Through CrossFit, we gained new friendships, a healthy lifestyle & a new family. :)
