I grew up in Canada, and moved to the US in 2000. That year I started working out at a typical gym with typical machine-centered workout routines. Over the years I added more variety and complexity. A co-worker told me about CrossFit in 2009, and I was hooked. I started following mainsite on my own, then joined Crossfit Northwest in Bellevue in 2010. I competed in the 2011 open, and then for the following year I worked on my weaknesses. I moved to Zurich, Switzerland in 2011 and joined Crossfit Zurich. I follow mainsite WODs but add my own programming, mostly short extra workouts focused on weaknesses.
How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
90% Primal including dairy. Mostly vegetables and fish, some meat, cheese, yogurt, fruit.
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I workout mostly at home, work, or a traditional gym
I incorporate CrossFit.com workouts
I work out at Crossfit Zurich and also at a little gym at work. I follow mainsite workouts, but add extra workouts that are focused on my weaknesses.
My Athletic Background
I did about 10 years of pretty normal big-gym weightlifting, running, and biking before discovering CrossFit.

I began CrossFit by trying it alone (without a coach)
