I have been doing CrossFit since 2007, but have had a lot of injuries over the years that have caused me to not be able to train as much as I would've wanted to. Last year after the Open I injured my knee and couldn't use it for almost 8 months. This Open will be interesting because I haven't been able to get my strength back to where it was last year

How I Eat

I weigh and measure my food

I eat clean Zone. Fruit/veggies for carbs (some sweet potatoes/yams), lean meats /protein powder/eggs for protein, nuts/butter/heavy whipping cream for my fats.

How I Train

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I workout at my brother's gym, CrossFit Kinnick.

My Athletic Background

I played youth or high school level sports

I played soccer for 10 years and volleyball for 5 years. I've always loved being active.

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)

I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit

My brother Jonathan started CrossFit Kinnick in my other brother (Jeremy)'s gym in 2007. Ever since then I've been hooked! I never thought I'd be able to say I ran a 5k because I've always had health issues and back issues that kept me from running. I am stronger than I ever imagined and can do pull-ups and dips and muscle ups!

My Work/Rest Schedule

I do multiple workouts in a day 3+ times a week

I typically rest 4 or more days per month

I try to work out at least 3-4 days a week and do A LOT of extra stuff after my daily WODs.

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

4+ years

I have been CrossFitting since 2007. I have been consistently CrossFitting for about 2 years. I finally got serious and started doing extra work and getting stronger and better.
