How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
I tried to eat as clean balance meals. 3 a day works best for me with 2 small snacks during day. My biggest motivator is watching my co-works eat junk all day and then listening to their complaints about their weight and health. It reminds why I made this choice and what the consequences are. I always offer my food and some have taken me up on it .
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
This is the first time in about year ( knee issues and then surgery) I am at it 5 days a week.
My Athletic Background
I played youth or high school level sports
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)
I began at a box I loved but like a lot of hot and heavy relations we soon we grew apart. I felt their interest in me was fleeting. I am now at a box with most the same members I started with and a few of coaches and my love for Crossfit has matured like a fine wine (that I love to get drunk on). Like the song said I don't want to die sober. Last years opens was a tough road for me I needed knee surgery going into the opens but put it off so I could compete. Not the best move and I would never advise anyone else to do the same but this was the second year in a row I needed surgery and I could not miss the open. I made it through and even to my toe-to-bar. After surgery I found out just how amazing Crossfit Brickyard was. When I was in a knee brace for 6 weeks not allowed to bend it at all causing me to lose just about all my muscle tone Crossfit Brickyard purchased a ski erg so I would be able to still get a workout. Members picked me up for classes taking and checked on me supporting my recovery 100% that is why this will be the best opens EVERY for me. Because they helped me get here. Without them I would be just another overweight 50 something, with this pride of lions behind me I am on the hunt for some PR's.
