How I Eat

I weigh and measure my food

I follow mainly a Paleo diet and use the Zone as my method of regulating my amounts

How I Train

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I write my own programming

I record my workouts

I train at My own Affiliate Crossfit Scotland. I follow the same WOD's that the members follow with a little bit of extra work on weaknesses. I record all my training sessions and have done for years.

My Athletic Background

I was a golfer who fell into Body Building. Then grew up and started training for fitness events like indoor Rowing and Cross Training events.

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit by trying it alone (without a coach)

I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course

I have attended one or more specialty courses

I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit

I train other people

I started doing Crossfit at my gym at home in early 2007 and later that year did the level 1 cert at Crossfit Soquel and the following week did Coach B's Olympic weightlifting Cert. I opened Crossfit Scotland with my business partner Ronnie Mckinstray in Feb 2008. I been coaching our members since then. Since starting Crossfit I have rediscovered my enthusiasm for training and I'm having more fun now than at anytime during a 35 tear career in fitness coaching.

My Work/Rest Schedule

I usually only do 1 workout a day

I do multiple workouts in a day 2x a week

I strictly schedule my rest days

I typically rest 4 or more days per month

I keep my training to the standard 3 days on 1 day off

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

4+ years

I have now been doing Crossfit for 5 years
