Loving life!!! My Baby-mama and I have an 8-month old and 6 kids - We're the "McBradley Bunch"!!!! I found crossfit and it has changed my life - literally! I met Sue (a Crossfit Coach) and the rest is history. I had many accolades as a high school football (Quarterback) and baseball player and enjoyed playing just about every sport! I received many letters from colleges requesting information about me. When I let them know that I was 5'5 1/2" and 135 Lbs, I didn't hear back from too many of them!!! I got a tryout for baseball minors but injuries and a 5.4 40-yard dash, combined with not being able to hit a curve ball, blew that! I had my most success boxing; my father started training me since I was 3. At age 70 he was benching 250, running 3-miles daily, hitting the punching bag, jumping rope and yelling at my mom. I have inherited his drive! Now I LOVE Crossfit. We have a great community at Crossfit Inspire, and Im proud to be a member and coach.
How I Eat
I eat a lot of meats and fruit but I have a very big weakness - Cherry Coke.
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
We have a great coaching at Inspire. Darin, head coach, is a beast and helps me with strengthening and conditioning.
My Athletic Background
I played college sports
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)
I have attended one or more specialty courses
I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit
At age 48, having a newborn with a Crossfit Coach and future Master's champion - that's life changing.
My Work/Rest Schedule
I usually only do 1 workout a day
I typically rest 4 or more days per month
I seem to be at my best when I work out 6 days per week (at one point, 32 straight days). The only problem with that was I didn't listen to my body and let little tweaks become injuries. When I get back to a routine it will be 3 days on, 1 day off.
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
Three of the most gratifying years of my work-out life.
