I am a banker by day and loving husband and father of two boys by night. I started my CrossFit journey at CrossFit Ark in Aurora, Canada approximately 6-months ago after "prepping" myself physically and mentally for several months prior. My amazing coaches, the community (both physical and virtual) and the very tangible results I have begun to realize are what keep me coming back week after week. Although not competitive in terms of the Games, I am really looking forward to the Open as a way to measure my overall fitness level against other middle-aged weekend warriors, as well as participate in a greater fitness community. I also find it an amazing way of relating (in some small way) to the incredible athletes that compete at the Games. There are very few sports in which a majority of the viewers are actually also athletes.
