In April of last 2013 I found myself weighing over 318lbs. With no energy and a newborn son. When I started Crossfit I could barely make it thru the warm up. Now I am nowhere near at the level of most athletes. But I am not where I use to be, and that's what's matter the most to me. I have a long way before I can RX the hero/girl WODs, but every day I get that much closer. I found this quote when I started, and it has been my driving force, besides my wife and son. "I'm not training for a 5K. I'm not training for competition. I'm not trying to set the new record. I'm not trying to impress you. I'm saving my life."-Unknown. I hope is to encourage other out of shape dads to get active because their families deserve it.
