My name is Ryan Hagen. I have been Crossfitting since 2007-2008ish and been coaching since 2009. I have competed in every open since its inception in 2011 and was a judge and volunteer at the 2010 Sectionals!! I’ve worked for Crossfit HQ teaching the Level Seminar in the past and in the last year moved from Charlotte, NC to San Francisco, CA and I now coach under Kelly and Juliet Starrett at SFCF. I love competing in the open because of the encouragement and comraderie that I experience during these 5 weeks. I was fortunate enough to compete in the 2013 and 2014 Mid-Atlantic Regionals as a member of Team both years and the Regional competition experience was one of if not the best and most exhilarating experiences of my life. I love helping and watching others perform feats thy never thought possible and push their bodies and minds farther then they bee imagined. The level of support and connection I feel while competing in the CF Open is something I look forward to every year!! I can’t wait for 18.1!!
