Bio

I am married with 4 children and 5 grandsons. I joined crossfit with my wife and youngest son almost 3 years ago. We quickly became addicted to the crossfit way of fitness. I loved it so much that I got my Level 1 Certification.I enjoy competing with and against 2 of the top masters competitors right here at the Vero Beach Crossfit and look forward to competing against the rest of the best at the Games!

How I Eat

I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount

I like to eat 5 small meals a day and have fluctuated between paleo and zone for many years.

How I Train

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I record my workouts

I train 5 to 6 days a week

My Athletic Background

I played youth or high school level sports

I got into weight training in college and competed in bodybuilding.

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)

I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course

I quickly learned that my lack of mobility due to over 30 years of heavy weight training limited me in many of the overhead lifts.

My Work/Rest Schedule

I strictly schedule my rest days

I typically rest 4 or more days per month

I have learned over the years that overtraining can be very detrimental to my progress.

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

2-4 years

I started crossfit in July 2010 and after going to L.A. to watch the Games last year decided to make an all out effort to make it to the Games this year.
